    When you have a friend you can trust, you need not go anywhere else.   I would recommend Doron to anyone who lives within a 400km radius. For me, it is a pleasant 3 hour drive from Montreal to Kingston. The satisfaction I've got each time I pick up my 2009 Mazda 3 from Doron is second to none.

    Rod has been our mechanic for over 10 years. We are loyal to him because he is very honest and does quality work on our vehicles. In fact, my wife has taken her car there a few times as she heard a noise. He could have said there was something wrong, but instead told us there was nothing wrong. Once my wife took her car somewhere else for a quick oil change and they came back with an estimate of $1500 plus for things that needed fixed. We immediately went to Rod and after thoroughly checking out the car he told us he couldn’t find a thing wrong with it. We had the car 5 years after this until we sold it and it ran perfectly. Recommendation Letter

To whom it may concern,

I have been Doron’s most faithful customer ever since November 2011 when I was living in Kingston. My move to Montreal in July 2014 did not deter me from returning to their shop for regular maintenance and trouble shooting.

I am a mechanical engineer by training and I used to do minor maintenance on my 1973 Pontiac Lemans in the early 80s. An unscrupulous garage can’t fool me easily with their fairy tale car problems. A Toronto garage told me I might need expensive engine repair on my 2009 Mazda 3 because of the engine ticking sound. Rob told me it’s not necessary to open up the engine. As the engine is getting high on mileage, the clearance in the valve lifter increases emitting the typical ticking sound when the engine is running.

I referred a friend to seek Doron’s help in pinpointing the problem in his Honda minivan catalytic converters – his van was very sluggish on power. He lived in Cornwall and the local garage wanted him to part with $2,000 to fix the problem. Since his van was still in driveable condition and so I persuaded him to come to Kingston for help. He’s got his problem fixed at Doron paying around $500 as Rob found him two second hand catalytic converters, saving him a lot of money.

Once I had an oil change in a Montreal garage and I asked them to repair the driver side power window outside rubber trimming as well. It had to be fixed as winter was approaching and the driver’s side front window could not be shut tight. That garage charged me upwards of $300 and they disabled my power window function as a ‘bonus’. I had to go back to have my power window switch turned back on. A little less than 2 weeks later, the driver’s side window rubber trimming problem recurred. Then I made a trip to Doron, and they fixed my problem right away at a fraction of the cost. It has been three months now and the problem is truly gone. I wouldn’t trust that Montreal garage with an engine oil change even if it is free.

I always enjoy a peace of mind after an oil change because of the assurance that Doron checks everything. Since I am a busy pastor who has no time to experiment with different local garages, I keep coming back to Doron in Kingston! I am always looking forward to the next time when I will see Rob, Carol & Nick again. As my car is getting old, I will count on them to fix more serious problems in the future. I will take a bus back to Montreal if my car has to stay over at Doron for extensive repair.
